Nan Morrison

In search of inner strength and my own humanity after the atrocities of 9/11, I began to paint.  By then, I’d studied art history for years.  Over time, I became extremely interested in the process and technique of painting.  For over 12 years, I’ve enjoyed my large studio at CPAS.  A self-taught, prolific painter, my abstract works convey a robust confidence in color, line, shape, texture and form.    Spontaneous, aggressive gestural strokes, a multitude of fluid drips or building layered, multi-textured collage, I find lots of joy in creating.  Outgoing, independent, funny and curious, my art is me.
