Laura Bollettino is a plein air landscape artist and, while she loves working in her studio, most months of the year you will find her outside, palette knife in hand, capturing all nature has to offer. She invites the viewer to be in the moment with her through bold and expressive use of paint, texture and the colors of the day. Her work has been on display in several shows in the surrounding DC area and she was most recently awarded the Juror’s Choice Award at Flowrailia Paint the River 2022 and second place in the Clifton Art Guild Plein Air Painting Festival & Competition. She is very active in the DMV art scene and is part of the leadership team that puts on Plein Air at the Arboretum - a plein air event held at the Virginia State Arboretum each September, and is a member of Nova Plein Air Artists. Her passion for capturing landscapes in the plein air tradition finds her traveling frequently to places and experiences that move her. You can follow her travels on Instagram @laurapleinair.
