Bridget Murphy

Bridget Murphy is involved in the creative process through printmaking, painting, mixed media, and design. The inspiration for her current artwork focuses on personal imagery from travels: locally, nationally, and internationally. Subject matter ranges from landscapes, flora, and objects within ‘place’ that have sparked her imagination. Her award-winning artwork has been exhibited regionally and nationally. Bridget is a Professor Emeritus at Marymount University where she taught Graphic and Media Design.

Bridget earned her MFA in painting and communication design from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and a BFA degree at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN. Bridget grew up in Washington, D.C. and currently lives in Alexandria, VA
