Alice Whealin

Alice Whealin makes paintings primarily in ink on paper, on panels, and on transparencies. Whealin’s artworks have been curated in numerous gallery exhibitions for many years, including The Painting Center, NY, the Esther M. Klein Art Gallery and the GrizzlyGrizzly Gallery, Philadelphia. Her works were included in curated exhibitions at Charles Krause/Reporting Fine Art, the Kathleen Ewing Gallery, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, in DC. 

Whealin held solo exhibitions at the Mezz Gallery@Artisphere, the McLean Project for the Arts, at George Mason University, the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Art Center, NVCC, and at the Arlington Arts Center in northern VA. Her works have been curated for two and three-person exhibitions at Howard County Council on the Arts gallery, MD, Robert Brown Gallery, DC, and at Arnold & Porter, Washington, DC with the International Sculpture Center. Whealin was awarded a studio artist residency at the Arlington Arts Center, VA, from 2011 to 2016. Museum collections with her artwork include the Museo Della Carta, Fabriano, Italy.
