Ghada Zaytoun

Ghada Zaytoun is an abstract artist based in Alexandria, Virginia working in mixed media, collage, fabric and paint.   Living most of her life straddling the Mediterranean Sea and the natural beauty of Mount Lebanon, she draws her inspiration from nature and the elements of fire, water, air and earth.

Her work spontaneously unfolds using complex techniques of layering, sanding, scraping and making her own collage paper with the use of diverse materials. Each painting is filled with layer upon layer of paint, building a rich history in her work. Her joyful experimentation and need to connect with nature is a reflection of her experiences and memories.

Ghada is a working member of the Columbia Pike Artist Studios. She studied fashion design, textiles and Fine Arts at Michelangelo Institute and The University of Lebanon and has studied at the Art Jeague School and Washington Art School.
